First off, I downloaded it b/c I was fiending for an official Pac album.
And tired of the mixtape stuff. But having said that, I normally download
every album I'm interested in. And then buy it if I think the artist
deserves it for their efforts (But I buy every official Pac album regardless
of if it's good or not)

Anyway, here's the track listing.

(01) Tupac - Intro
(02) Tupac - Ghost
(03) Tupac With Eminem - One Day At A Time (Ems Version) (ft. The Outlawz)
(04) Tupac - Death Around The Corner
(05) Tupac - Secretz Of War
(06) Tupac - Runnin (Dying To Live) (ft. The Notorious Big)
(07) Tupac - Holler If Ya Hear Me
(08) Tupac - Starin Through My Rear View
(09) Tupac - Bury Me A G
(10) Digital Underground - Same Song
(11) Tupac - Panther Power
(12) Tupac - Str8 Ballin
(13) Tupac - Rebel Of The Underground
(14) Tupac - The Realist Killaz (ft. 50 Cent)

First look, it's really weird...and messed up. And the last track looks
really out of place. But majority have been already released, and some
stuff that hasn't been released has been listened by a lot of hardcore Pac
fans.

I'll only talk about the unheard tracks.

* Intro - Two sentances extracted from an interview. Nothing to look
forward to, and (Thank God) nothing for Alive Theory [Fans?] to get excited
about.

* Ghost - I think this is one of the best tracks off the album. It really
puts an atmosphere on your feelings towards the movie. And it was a good
choice to be put as the first song. But as you can predict, he talks about
being a ghost. He says basically, even when I die I'll be a problem, and
I'll (somehow) get back what you people take from me. He mentions Makaveli,
and thats the only way he can come back. But if you analyse the whole
track, it's like...he puts you to sleep...and tried to tell you a nightmare.
The narrative to this is about Death basically, and not being able to do
anything about it. And tired from running from the snitches and the cops,
so it's time for him to become a ghost. It's like he admits defeat.

Beat is pretty good. And the production is okay. At the start, there's the
same deep voice over as on Still Ballin'. Best lyrics are...

some say im crazy, these punk a** cops cant fade me
Momma tried to raise me, but had too many babies
papa was a muther f**kin chump, used to find dope
in his coat and nearly choked when he tell me not to smoke
Damn, don't get me started,
my momma smoked so God damn much when she was pregnant
I'm surprised I aint retarted.

* One Day At A Time - Tupac & Eminem (Ft. Outlawz)

This track was supposedly one that was left unfinished by Pac's death. He
only had one verse in this. So Eminem produced it, added a verse, and
teamed up with the Oulawz.

The stuff Pac says in this is like an overview of everything he's about.
Keeping an open mind, trying to make a change...fighting the demons...

Pac sets the tone on this. Eminem carries it on, and uses a lot of lyrics
and phrases Pac's had in other tracks, same happens with other Outlaw
members, but the first one tries to play on the Makaveli theme. Three
outlaw members feature on the track, I know EDI's one...other one i think is
Kadafi. Dunno about the other.

The beat is something you can bump your head to. Lyrics are differents from
most of his stuff.

* Runnin (Dying To Live) (ft. The Notorious Big)

This track has been around for a few weeks online, and is the first single
to be taken from the album and set for release...the video will actually be
put on Launch on the 4th.

For me, this is very similar to Ghost. It's like saying...what's the point?
In Ghost, he's saying he wants to be put to rest...b/c he's tried. In
Runnin he's saying, Why am I fighting to live when I'm just living to die?

This is the second version of running. The first one contained both rap
legends (when they were friends), and also Stretch. This has extra parts to
it...and the beat IMO is a lot better. It's more to the point...and really
catches feelings. Eminem will get a hell of a lot of credits for this. And
the production side of him will get a lot of praise.

This is a good choice for a single. A lot of people will feel this.

The only bad thing about this OST is the feeling of misplacement, with the
Realist Killaz track. And a sense of unfinished work (one day at a time),
and not enough effort put into (intro). And also, you also feel that some
tracks are simply there to make up the numbers.

But the unheard tracks alone make it worthwhile the purchase, as do a mix of
un-predictable tracks on one album.

Overall, it's above par. The bad thing is the amount of released tracks.
And also, even though this is "His story". I thtink there should have been
a few joints from Biggie...he has a lot of unreleased stuff. Maybe a few
tribute tracks could have been fittin too.

I don't like the fact that Afeni liked Realist Killaz. It's pretty lame.
And gives the pre-15 yr old Alive theory fans something to shout about.
